Its almost time.............

Cant believe that Christmas is almost here. We seem to be having a hard time getting in the mood this year. We are thinking that it is because Neil just got back 2 months ago and everything has been in fast motion. Plus I had to have a tooth pulled and 4 filled. It is no fun having bad teeth. So I have been healing with that since Thursday. I am finally off the pain meds and can eat somewhat normal. Neil, has been so great taking care of me.
The weather here has been nuts. But that is normal for Ga. But we did take the kids to the Stephen Foster State Park to see some lights. Hard to believe that we have been here 9 years and just now found out about this. Here are a few pics of the kids we took.

I am gonna work harder to keep this blog up to date. I know some of you dont have Facebook so I want to keep you updated through this. 

Things that have happened. Neil deployed back in March and thankfully got home in Oct. I am so glad that he will be home for the holidays. But my heart breaks for those that have loved ones gone. It was a hard almost 7 months but the kids and I made it through. We were in Ga the whole time and ended up getting to know our neighbors better as her hubby was gone as well. Here are a few pics from the homecoming. The first pic is before he left when we said goodbye. The second one is the day he came home.

Just an update......

Yes yes I know that it has been forever since I have blogged anything. But I want to start keeping this up to date.

We are all good here in Ga. Just hoping for cooler weather here soon. I thought that it was gonna actually be decent out today but it turned hot. The kids and I went to the base to the thrift store to get out of the house for a bit. On the way there we had all the windows in the car rolled down and was enjoying the nice cool air. We got to the thrift store and went into the food court to have lunch and by the time that we got back out it was real hot. So I had to use the air on the way home. That is one part that we don't like about living here is we don't have all 4 seasons. Here it is fall and it still feels like the middle of summer.

Neil sews on Tech the 1st of Nov and we are so hoping that we will get orders not long after. We are hoping to get Wright Patterson AFB, Oh. Which is only 4 hours from home. The kids and I could come in more often and spend time with family.

The kids were sick here recently and I have seemed to have gotten it. Which is nothing unusual I almost always get whatever they have. Not really sure how they got it but they did. Thankfully Neil hasn't gotten it because I hate when he is sick and then has to work.

The weather has finally started cooling off and feeling a little more like fall. The leaves are turning but still most are green. I just want to get somewhere they have all 4 seasons. I am really hoping we get out of here. So many people are getting orders here. Some are for overseas which we DO NOT want. We did our time over there and can say that we have been...lol We are ready to get somewhere where he can retire from and then move back home. If we were closer to home it would make it easier to go back and forth to get our forever home set up. And I do not want to miss out on being able to see my family by being overseas or on the other side of the country. I think alot of that has to do with us being in Germany for 4 years and me missing getting to spend that time with my dad. And then come home to have him pass away 10 months later.

The kids are doing great just growing like no other. I cant believe in a few months Chris will be 7. I am not sure where the time has went. He is doing good with school. I just ordered his math books so we can work on that for him. But he loves that I home school him and I wouldn't give this time up with him. Hay is also doing good with everything that I am working with her on. She has very good handwriting for a 4 year old.

Well, that is about it for now. I started this post awhile back so if it doesnt make sense that is why... lol
